Service of Remembrance 2020 (Virtual Event)
Sun Oct 04, 2020 - 1:00 pm-3:00 pm PT
Helping After Neonatal Death invites you to join in ceremony with other HAND families to remember the beloved children still in our hearts. We will have music, poetry readings, and a social hour for sharing with others who have also experienced the loss of a baby. Your entire family and friends are welcome to participate in this memorial celebration.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the service will be held virtually on Zoom (zoom.us).
The health and safety of the HAND community is our highest priority. In compliance with Santa Clara County Public Health (www.sccgov.org) and Centers for Disease Control (www.cdc.gov) guidance discouraging large indoor gatherings, this year we’ve decided to host a virtual Service of Remembrance on Zoom (zoom.us).
Please RSVP no later than August 24, 2020.
RSVPs received after this date are welcome, but may not be included in the printed program. We will make every effort to send the program and personalized keepsakes to each family prior to the event, however shipping times can vary based on your location.
All ages welcome
We acknowledge that after the loss of a child it can be painful to see other children. Please remember that children present at the service have suffered the loss of a brother or sister or may be subsequent children. Parents who have children in attendance are sensitive to the fact that there are newly-bereaved families present. We all attend the service for the same reason: to honor the children we so dearly miss.
Helping After Neonatal Death (HAND) is a California non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, founded in 1983 to help parents, their families and their healthcare providers cope with the loss of a baby before, during, or after birth. There are no fees for our services. HAND relies entirely on donations to support its programs.
How to donate
Make a tax-deductible donation online, or write a check payable to HAND and mail to
HAND Service of Remembrance, P.O. Box 341, Los Gatos, CA 95031. For memorial donations, please note the baby’s and parents’ names and “2020 SOR” in the description or comments.
To have your baby’s name or any other submitted materials included in the printed program, all items must be received by August 24, 2020.
