HAND is a California non-profit agency run entirely by volunteers: Parents, professionals and supportive members of the community. There are many ways YOU CAN help: program services, support services, and fundraising.
Volunteer
Program volunteers help bereaved families by providing telephone support, hospital visitations and support group staffing. HAND also offers a speakers bureau that provides outreach and professional education for healthcare providers, mental health workers, members of the clergy, and other groups interested in learning how to better support families in grief. Training is provided. Learn more >
Events
Support service volunteers help production, the Service of Remembrance, serve on our Board of Directors, Professional Advisory Board, and help with fundraising, grant writing and committee work. Learn more >
